<p><strong>AV Service Technician – Crestron / AMX</strong></p><p>Our <strong>top enterprise customer</strong> is looking for an experienced <strong>AV Service Technician</strong> to support and maintain cutting‑edge audiovisual systems for their existing client base. This is an ideal opportunity for a <strong>5+ year AV installer</strong> who wants to transition into service work — or a service technician ready to work on <strong>high‑end, complex systems</strong> in executive environments. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and being the go‑to technical</p><p>expert in the field, this role was built for you.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Working On</strong></p><p>You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across a wide range of enterprise AV systems, including:</p><ul><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Custom Control Systems:</strong> Crestron DM & NVX, AMX</li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Complex AV Systems</strong> in executive boardrooms and conference centers</li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Video Conferencing Systems</strong></li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">AV over IP (AVoIP)</strong> across LAN, WAN, and internet environments</li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Audio DSP Systems:</strong> amplifiers, speakers, microphones</li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Projection Systems & Displays</strong></li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Video Walls & Digital Signage</strong></li><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">RF Systems</strong> (basic exposure – analog & digital)</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot system, signal, and connectivity issues using a multimeter and diagnostic tools</li><li>Perform <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">preventative maintenance</strong> on client systems</li><li>Conduct <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">site surveys</strong> to support service agreements and quotes</li><li>Write <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">clear, concise service reports and system documentation</strong></li><li>Manage multiple service calls and priorities independently</li><li>Interface professionally with <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">enterprise-level customers</strong></li><li>Lead and mentor junior/intermediate field technicians when needed</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">3+ years</strong> of AV field service experience <em style="font-size:10.5pt;">(5+ years of installation experience considered)</em></li><li>Strong troubleshooting mindset — you know how to isolate and resolve issues</li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">Crestron and/or AMX systems</strong></li><li>Comfortable working in executive and customer-facing environments</li><li>Own <strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">basic hand tools</strong> and understand proper field practices</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong style="font-size:10.5pt;">CTS certification</strong> (highly preferred)</li><li>Two‑year technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience</li></ul><p> </p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.</p><p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
