The ideal candidate will have strong 3D modeling abilities, experience with mechanical packaging or modular systems, and the ability to translate existing designs into transport‑ready modular units.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Review and interpret the client’s current stationary system drawings, layouts, and design files.<br>• Develop <strong>modularized CAD models</strong> optimized for rail and truck shipment, ensuring structural integrity and transportability.<br>• Create detailed fabrication, assembly, and packaging drawings for modular units.<br>• Collaborate with engineers to incorporate mechanical, structural, and logistical requirements into the design.<br>• Ensure compliance with dimensional constraints, weight limits, lift/rigging points, and transportation regulations.<br>• Produce revision updates and maintain organized CAD documentation throughout the project lifecycle.<br>• Participate in design reviews and rapidly implement feedback.</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br>• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent).<br>• Experience with modular design, skid systems, or equipment packaging (preferred).<br>• Strong understanding of mechanical layouts, tolerances, and fabrication methods.<br>• Ability to work quickly and accurately under short project timelines.<br>• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote engineering teams.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br>• Background in designing systems for transport (rail/truck) or industrial equipment integration.<br>• Knowledge of structural framing, lifting/rigging considerations, or transport‑rated enclosures.</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong><br>This is a fast‑paced short‑term project ideal for a designer who can step in quickly, work independently, and deliver high‑quality modular CAD packages that transform a stationary system into a transport‑ready solution.</p>
