SkyFi is the place for you.</p><p></p><h2><strong>The Job</strong></h2><p>We’re looking for a Capture & Proposal Manager to coordinate cross-functional capture and proposal efforts throughout the full lifecycle of opportunity pursuit—from qualification through submission and follow-up. Think of this as a program management role where the “program” is a portfolio of live opportunities. You’ll facilitate SkyFi’s capture and proposal process acrossRFIs SBIRs, RFPs, BAAs, and commercial bids, keeping cross-functional teams aligned, on schedule, and producing winning proposals. The ideal candidate blends <strong><em>strong organizational discipline</em></strong> with an <strong><em>aptitude for technical communication</em></strong> and thrives as the connective tissue between BD, Sales, Program, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance.</p><p>This role reports to the Director of Programs.</p><ul><li><p>Own and improve the end-to-end <strong><em>capture and proposal process</em></strong> (Identify → Qualify → Propose → Review → Submit → Follow Up).</p></li><li><p>Serve as <strong><em>Proposal Lead</em></strong> on active pursuits: run kickoffs, assign writers, set milestones, and drive proposals through each sub-phase.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain a <strong><em>proposal document library</em></strong> of reusable templates (cover letters, SOWs, compliance matrices, cost volumes, past performance).</p></li><li><p>Coordinate the weekly <strong><em>qualification meeting</em></strong>: prepare scorecards, facilitate go/no-go decisions, and ensure capture strategies are complete.</p></li><li><p>Drive <strong><em>cross-functional collaboration</em></strong> across BD, Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to produce compliant, compelling proposals.</p></li><li><p>Translate complex technical concepts into <strong><em>clear, persuasive proposal narratives</em></strong> for government and commercial evaluators.</p></li><li><p>Own <strong><em>proposal schedules and status reporting</em></strong> in HubSpot; surface blockers early and keep deadlines on track.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate <strong><em>cross-functional reviews</em></strong> to stress-test win themes, compliance, and cost realism before submission.</p></li><li><p>Lead <strong><em>win/loss retrospectives</em></strong> and feed lessons learned back into templates, scorecards, and process.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate <strong><em>pricing and cost volume development</em></strong> with technical teams and Finance.</p></li><li><p>Manage <strong><em>multiple concurrent proposals</em></strong> while maintaining organized documentation and compliance artifacts.</p></li><li><p>Ensure <strong><em>on-time, compliant submissions</em></strong> across agency portals in partnership with BD/Sales.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></h2><ul><li><p>8+ years in <strong><em>proposal management, capture management, or program management</em></strong> within government contracting or dual-use tech.</p></li><li><p><strong><em>Proven track record leading proposals</em></strong> from capture through submission for SBIRs, RFPs, BAAs, or similar solicitations.</p></li><li><p>Strong <strong><em>technical communication skills</em></strong>—able to distill engineering concepts into clear, evaluator-friendly narratives.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional <strong><em>organizational skills</em></strong> with the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities at varying stages.</p></li><li><p><strong><em>Foundational understanding of engineering and product development</em></strong> to support credible scoping and technical writing.</p></li><li><p>Experience with <strong><em>CRM and pipeline tools</em></strong> (HubSpot preferred) for deal tracking and reporting.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong><em>government procurement processes</em></strong>, FAR/DFARS, and common submission portals.</p></li><li><p><strong><em>Collaborative leadership style</em></strong>—comfortable driving outcomes across multiple functions without direct authority.</p></li><li><p>Ability to <strong><em>create and refine process</em></strong>: templates, scorecards, checklists, and workflows that scale.</p></li><li><p><strong><em>Flexible and creative</em></strong> in adapting to tight timelines, varying solicitation types, and evolving requirements.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h2><ul><li><p>PMP, APMP, or Shipley certification.</p></li><li><p>Experience in the <strong><em>space, defense, or Earth observation</em></strong> sectors.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with SBIR/STTR program structure, including Phase I → Phase II positioning strategies.</p></li><li><p>Experience building proposal operations from the ground up at a <strong><em>startup or small business</em></strong>.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with <strong><em>pricing and cost volume development</em></strong>, including rate structures, LOE estimation, and budget narratives.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>At SkyFi You Will:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Be well compensated.
