The incumbent serves as the principal administrative support employee for the CIO and performs complex, confidential, and sensitive administrative functions requiring independent judgment, discretion, and tact. Responsibilities include coordinating executive communications, managing calendars and schedules, preparing correspondence and briefing materials, coordinating meetings and special projects, monitoring assignments and action items, and serving as liaison between the CIO, executive leadership, County agencies, vendors, elected officials, and external stakeholders. Work is performed under the general supervision of the CIO and evaluated based on effectiveness, accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and achievement of operational objectives.<br><br><strong><u>About the Agency</u></strong><br><br>The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides support for all of the agencies, departments, and branches of County government. The OIT Service Desk provides information technology support and maintenance services to Prince George’s County personnel. The Office of Information Technology is wholly dedicated to aligning technology efforts to support the strategic goals of the County. OIT will provide leadership, expertise, and resources in the ideation, development, and deployment of innovative technologies and streamlined processes to improve government efficiency, business interaction, and citizen access to government information and services.</span><ul><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Provides direct executive administrative support to the CIO and high-level administrative support to all Associate Directors within OIT. </li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Serves as a primary point of contact for inquiries directed to the CIO and OIT executive leadership.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Independently manages calendars, schedules meetings, and coordinates competing demands across multiple executives to ensure effective use of leadership time with minimal scheduling conflicts and timely adjustments as priorities change.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Promotes consistency in executive administrative processes across OIT, including standardized documentation, workflows, and communication practices.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Prepares, reviews and ensures documents are accurate, professionally formatted, compliant with County administrative procedures, and delivered within established deadlines. Documentation includes, but is not limited to, memoranda, briefing documents, reports, presentations, governance documentation, and official communications.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Coordinates agenda for executive sponsored meetings, leadership briefings, and cross-functional working groups.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Responsible for the supervision of administrative support staff to ensure office management goals and objectives are effectively achieved.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Provides proactive coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities that improve employee performance and operational efficiency.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Completes performance evaluations accurately and within required deadlines, providing clear, constructive, and measurable feedback.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Screens and routes communications, responds to routine and non-routine inquiries as appropriate, and elevate issues requiring executive attention.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Handles sensitive and confidential information related to audits, and policy development in accordance with County policies and ethical standards.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Performs other related duties assigned in support of OIT executive leadership and strategic objectives.</li></ul><strong><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><u>Minimum Qualifications</u></span></strong><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br></span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true">Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications listed below to be eligible for additional consideration: </span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br></span><ul><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;">Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Secretarial Science.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"><span style="font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true">Three (3) years of senior level secretarial/administrative experience which involved working with the public, office management and operational details, and staff supervision <span style="font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><strong>OR </strong>a</span></span>t least one (1) year of previous experience at the Administrative Aide IV level.</span></li></ul><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true">An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.</span></div><span data-pasted="true" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></span><ul><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible executive-level administrative support experience, preferably supporting senior executives in a technology, government, or large organizational environment.</li><li data-pasted="true" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience coordinating executive calendars, scheduling complex meetings, managing travel arrangements, and organizing high-level events involving multiple stakeholders.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Demonstrated experience preparing executive correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing materials, agendas, and meeting minutes with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.</li><li data-pasted="true" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience handling confidential, sensitive, and personnel-related information with discretion and sound judgment.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Knowledge of information technology concepts, terminology, and organizational structures sufficient to effectively support technology leadership and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and other business productivity tools.</li></ul><div style="color: inherit;
