Fit Fusion is seeking a high-performing and detailed Accountant II to play a key role in strengthening our accounting operations and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting and progressively owning the monthly close process, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and ensuring financial data is complete, accurate, and audit-ready. You will partner closely with the Senior Accountant and cross-functional teams to drive consistency, improve processes, and support a growing, multi-entity business. We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their work—someone who can help drive accurate, timely financials with speed and clarity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Close & General Accounting
  • Assist with components of the monthly close process
  • Prepare and post basic journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses)
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
  • Support preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
  • Account Reconciliations & Balance Sheet Support
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Investigate and escalate discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain organized supporting documentation
  • Payables & Transaction Processing
  • Manage AP inbox ensuring proper coding of invoices and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies
  • Manage company credit cards, including coding, documentation follow up and reconciliations
  • Support AP/AR processes
  • Accruals & Reporting Support
  • Assist in identifying and recording routine accruals
  • Support basic variance analysis
  • Gather data for reporting needs
  • Systems & Process Support
  • Utilize accounting systems
  • Support process improvements and documentation
  • Follow internal controls
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Collaborate with teams
  • Respond to internal requests
  • Assist with audit documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with journal entries and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Excel

Reporting Structure

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
