Description:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Production Coordinator and Inventory Management teams.
  • Approve timecards, schedule work, conduct periodic reviews, and provide one-on-one mentoring and training to direct reports.
  • Implement logistics and inventory management practices, including transportation, kitting, inventory strategy, and work order management.
  • Support metric goals and objectives for the Production Coordinator and Inventory teams.
  • Conduct regular safety walkthroughs, address safety issues, and promote safety policies.
  • Distribute campaign work order workload to support low-priority, high on-time kitting aligned with internal customer and campaign timelines.
  • Interface with Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Transportation, Planning, Purchasing, and related departments to resolve material receipt and distribution issues.
  • Serve as the focal point for area audits and other events related to the responsible production coordinator teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through continuous workspace design improvements.
  • Foster a culture that embraces change and considers, supports, and implements new ideas when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing, or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP (preferred).
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience, including Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environments (preferred).
  • Hazmat certification (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of transport guidelines under 49CFR and IATA (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and perform standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying tasks.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, extended hours, and/or weekends as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.
